Office Safety Measures:
The safety of our patients and staff is our top priority. We adhere to the guidelines set forth by the CDC and the Connecticut Department of Health in our office to limit exposure to COVID-19.
Before entering our office, you will need to wear a mask covering your nose and mouth. This mask must stay in place at all times even while speaking, coughing, or sneezing.
To allow for social distancing, please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. If you are late, we may need to reschedule. Also note, that if you do not show up for an appointment, there will be a $50.00 no-show fee. In addition, if you cancel your appointment within 24 hours, you will be charged $50.00 per our cancellation policy.
On the day of your appointment, we ask that you come alone, unless you are accompanying a minor or are the caregiver for our patient. Once you check in with our front desk staff, please sanitize your hands with the office provided Purell, and have a seat until you are called for your appointment.
We offer telehealth visits, if you prefer to see your clinician from the comfort of your own home, please call our office to set up a telehealth visit.

At Dermatology for the Family, the office of Charles L. G. Halasz, M.D., we have been specializing in dermatological disorders, their diagnosis, and treatment since 1984. Our office provides comprehensive care for problems of Skin, Hair, and Nails. This includes treatment of Acne, Aesthetic Procedures, Eczema, Hidradenitis Suppurativa, Hyperhidrosis, Melanoma, Moles, Poison Ivy, Psoriasis, Skin Cancers, Vitiligo, Warts, and much more.
Dr. Halasz has particular experience in evaluating the skin as a mirror of health in other parts of the body. We work closely with Rheumatologists, Infectious Disease Specialists, Wound Care Specialists, and Internists in helping patients with complex skin problems. For example, we evaluate patients with Lupus, Scleroderma, and Chronic Renal Disease, when they develop skin problems. Our office utilizes the latest equipment and medications that are available in the field of Dermatology.

Board Certification
Elizabeth Choe has over 19 years of dermatology experience. She completed her undergraduate education at New York University and earned her Physician Assistant degree from Long Island University/The Brooklyn Hospital Center. Elizabeth has trained under and worked closely with well-respected Manhattan and international dermatologists. She practices all aspects of general dermatology including but not limited to skin cancer screenings, acne, eczema, psoriasis, warts, and hair loss.
